Description

Galpin Motors is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our restaurant team at the Horseless Carriage Restaurant.

This is a great opportunity to work at the famous Horseless Carriage Restaurant Located within the Galpin Ford Dealership. Galpin Motors was the home of the first in-dealer restaurant and we have continued to grow our restaurant services by adding a full service Starbucks and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Cafe. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, honest, hard working, and committed to great customer service.

Some of What You'll do:

Prepare food for service including, chopping ingredients, butchering meat, and preparing sauces

Set up and stock workstations with necessary supplies; stock inventory appropriately

Leverage your time management skills to ensure food comes out simultaneously and in a timely manner

Contribute to producing a high quality product by working effectively with team members and preparing menu items according to the Chefs instructions

Maintain professional communication with team members and guests

Develop your culinary skills and take your career to new heights!

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years experience in a restaurant environment working as a line or prep cook

Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, restaurant equipment and procedures.

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.

Professional work ethic and high integrity

Ability to work as a team and/or independently

Ability to pass preliminary background check and drug screen

Authorization to work in the US

Physical Requirements

Line cooks often work long hours on their feet in a fast-paced environment, requiring physical stamina to stay productive throughout shifts that can extend beyond 8 hours.

Lift heavy pots, pans, and containers filled with food or liquids, as well as moving kitchen equipment and supplies.

Precise and quick movements are necessary for tasks such as chopping, slicing, and plating food. This requires good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

Move swiftly around the kitchen, navigating tight spaces and multitasking efficiently to manage multiple orders simultaneously.

Must tolerate high temperatures and potential exposure to steam and hot surfaces while maintaining focus and productivity.
