Job summary

Wallick Senior Living in Meadow Valley is seeking a Line Cook to support residents through quality meals and compassionate service. This full‑time position offers two shift options: 6am–2:30pm or 11am–7:30pm, with pay of $18–$20 per hour.

You will help prepare meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure safe food handling. Join a resident‑focused, employee‑owned team that emphasizes growth through training, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities to advance.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent desired, plus 1–2 years of institutional or restaurant experience.
• Strong communication skills with co‑workers, residents, and family members.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources.
• Basic math skills and routine decision making requiring little judgment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of large equipment in preparation and serving areas.
• Maintain product quality through routine temperature checks and taste tests.
• Set up food in steam tables and deliver additional food as needed.
• Maintain portion control in preparation and serving.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Act as the person in charge when the chef is absent.
