Job summary

Mad Town Gastropub, located inside the Madison Regional Airport, is hiring Line Cooks. SSP America operates the venue and offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining station setup, stocking essentials, quality control, and completing opening/closing checklists. Applicants must be 18+, have at least 1 year of line cook experience, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Follow recipes and portion control to prepare, garnish, and present items
• Maintain proper and adequate kitchen setup daily
• Stock and requisition food, paper products, and condiments
• Handle, store, and rotate products properly
• Set up, maintain, clean, and break down machinery and equipment
• Maintain stock, cutting, and storage of perishables daily
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists
• Ensure quality of products served
• Perform cleaning tasks per supervisor instructions

Responsibilities

• Prepare, garnish, and present items per recipes and portions
• Keep kitchen stations organized and stocked throughout shift
• Requisition and rotate stock to prevent waste
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and area
• Monitor perishables and maintain product quality
• Close out checklists and assist with opening/closing tasks

We are currently hiring for Line Cooks to work at Mad Town Gastropub, located inside the Madison Regional Airport.

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Line Cook

Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items

Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station on a daily basis

Requisitioning and stocking of all required food, paper products, and condiments

Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly

Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of any machinery and equipment

Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality

Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required

Takes responsibility for quality of products served

Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards

Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate for this position has:

At least 18 years old

One year line cook experience in arestaurant

Verbal and written communication is essential

Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders

Basic mathematical skills

Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time.
