Job description

At True Food Kitchen, we pride ourselves on serving great food! This means that we rely on our line cooks to consistently and efficiently prepare and cook our recipes to the highest quality. Many items on our menu are seasonal, which gives our line cooks a variety of recipes to prepare as we rotate throughout the year.

We look for people who:

  • Have experience in at least one of these stations: Saute, Pizza, and Grill. Experience in more than one is a PLUS!
  • If you know only one or two stations, we offer an enhanced development program to "level up". Continue growing and learning!
  • Have at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Are flexible and available to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Can work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Can read and execute recipes accurately.
  • Have a love for making great food and understand the importance of quality presentation!

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including starters, entrees, and pizzas, using various kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Consistently follow portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service.
  • Portion food according to standard sizes and recipes.
  • Keep your work station and equipment clean and sanitary.
  • Ensure proper plate presentation and garnishing.
  • Handle, store, and rotate products properly according to standards.
  • Assist in food prep during off-peak times as needed.
  • Properly open and close the kitchen, following checklists.
  • Follow hygiene and food safety rules.
  • Communicate proactively to resolve operational, HR, and financial issues.
  • Be flexible during shifts to ensure smooth restaurant operations as directed.
