Job summary

HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital in Port St. Lucie, FL is seeking a Line Cook to join the Nutritional Service Department.

The Line Cook works under the FANS Management team to prepare hot foods, follow safety and sanitation guidelines, and deliver high-quality service to patients and staff. Responsibilities include cooking to recipe requirements, maintaining a clean workspace, and collaborating with kitchen staff to support daily hot production needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in healthcare food and nutrition services preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot foods according to recipes and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized work area and kitchen station.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to patients and staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Line Cook works under the direction of the FANS Management team to ensure that all work is performed utilizing all safety and sanitation guidelines. Performs routine daily tasks related to hot production needs of the Nutritional Service Department. The position will prepare and cook all hot food and related items ensuring a clean and sanitized work area in accord with recipe requirements. Provides the highest level of customer service at all times.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent, preferred

• One year of experience in healthcare food and nutrition services preferred

• Must be able to speak, write, and read in English
