Job summary

Snooze in Plano, TX is hiring a Line Cook to prepare high-quality breakfast items with a focus on safety and timely service. You will be working with ovens, stoves, griddles, and other kitchen equipment to deliver our signature pancakes and menu items.

The role requires 1 year of restaurant experience (6 months high-volume preferred), the ability to stand 10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and eligibility to work in the US. Snooze offers weekly pay, a range of benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timely dishes.
• Know all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety basics.
• Prepare diverse items using knives, mixers, blenders, scales, and bags.
• Cook using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and area.
• Handle products per Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines.

The Position Specifics

The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship. The best pancakes in all the land are in the hands of our Line Cooks. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
