Job summary

Snooze is hiring a Line Cook to prepare our signature pancakes and breakfast dishes with high quality and care. You will be responsible for food safety, sanitation, and timely plating, while closely following menus and recipes.

The role requires familiarity with kitchen equipment and the ability to work in a fast-paced breakfast setting. Benefits and evening closures support work-life balance for our Snoozers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant industry
• Ability to communicate clearly with management
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Food safety knowledge and sanitation standards

Responsibilities

• Prepare Snooze menu items with high quality and care
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and timely service
• Know menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety info
• Prepare various foods using knives, mixers, blenders, and grinders
• Cook with ovens, stoves, grills, and broilers
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation

The Position Specifics

The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship. The best pancakes in all the land are in the hands of our Line Cooks. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines

Line Cooks at Snooze are...

• fun, energetic, eager and a committed team member.
• experienced. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• fast paced. A minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• able to communicate clearly with management staff.
• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
