Job summary

The Delicatessen in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. You’ll set up stations, prep ingredients, and cook menu items to exact chef specifications in a high-energy kitchen.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a strong focus on quality. Candidates with prior line cook or prep cook experience, culinary training a plus, and a current Food Handler card are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required (line cook, prep cook or restaurant kitchen).
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to follow direction and communicate effectively.
• Culinary school training is a plus, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Food Handler card.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies
• Prepare food for service including chopping, prepping, portioning, and sauce preparation
• Cook menu items to exact chef specifications
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs during service
• Ensure dishes are executed with speed, consistency, and quality
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts
• Properly store and rotate inventory
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with teammates and guests
