Reports To : Head Chef / Kitchen Manager
Job Summary :
Seeking a skilled Line Cook to prepare dishes according to our restaurant's standards and recipes. You'll ensure food quality, maintain a clean workstation, and follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Food Preparation : Cook and prepare dishes based on established recipes and portion sizes. Handle tasks such as grilling, frying, broiling, and baking.
- Station Management : Set up, stock, and maintain your workstation, ensuring it's clean, organized, and following safety measures.
- Quality Control : Ensure all ingredients, prepped items and prepared dishes meet company presentation and taste standards. Assist in expediting orders as needed.
- Sanitation : Follow all food safety and sanitation practices, including washing, peeling, cutting, and preparing ingredients as well as all DCHD protocols.
- Collaboration : Work with other Head Chef, Kitchen Management and kitchen staff to improve service, performance, and safety. Help with additional duties as needed.
- Company Policies : Adhere to all company guidelines and policies as outlined in the employee handbook, including health standards, conduct, and safety procedures.
Other Duties :
Be aware of any safety concerns and report them promptly.Wear safety gear, including slip-resistant shoes.Superior attendance and punctuality are essential.Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays are preferred.Qualifications :
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.Work Environment : Fast-paced kitchen with moderate to high noise levels, high temperatures levels and sharp objects.Skills : Strong hand-eye coordination, multitasking, and attention to detail.Experience : Previous experience in a similar role preferred.Benefits :
