Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Line Cook for The Farnam, Autograph Collection, in Omaha, NE.
Job Purpose :
Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. Provide warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance to reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and guest check specifications.
- Follow company and brand standards to ensure product consistency and high guest satisfaction.
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items.
- Visually inspect, select, and use only high-standard food items for all menu preparations.
- Ensure proper storage of products and control portions to maintain quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of refrigeration, equipment, storage, and work areas to comply with health regulations.
- Adhere to sanitation standards and operate all kitchen equipment safely.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Receive and store food and other deliveries properly.
- Coordinate daily with kitchen management and related departments.
- Participate in long-range planning and ongoing hotel programs.
- Conduct physical inventories.
- Engage with guests professionally and courteously, addressing concerns proactively.
- Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and safety/security policies.
- Assist other departments in emergencies and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Marriott standards preferred but not required.
Physical and Language Requirements :
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand workplace language(s).
- Good communication skills, basic math, and ability to follow recipes.
- Physical ability to handle kitchen tools, lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in extreme temperatures.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for food preparation and safety.
