Job summary

Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown Hotel, part of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, seeks a PM shift cook to prepare food items per recipes and quality standards in a fast-paced, safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, rotating stock, assisting with buffet setup, and supporting coworkers to ensure smooth service. Benefits include growth opportunities and hotel discounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without over-preparing needs.
• Date and rotate perishables per Crescent standards; keep temperatures proper.
• Check pars for shift use; identify shortages; assist in keeping the buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to storage with date/covering as needed.
• Assist in correcting food cost issues and reducing waste per standards.
• Operate and clean all listed kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• Be available to work the PM shift and adhere to attendance rules.

SCHEDULE: PM Shift

Job Overview

Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping the buffet stocked.
• Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
• Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss, and usage per Crescent standards.
• Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
