Job summary

Monarch Landing, Naperville, IL, is seeking an experienced cook to join our healthcare dining team. You will prepare food for service, chop vegetables, butcher meat, and cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff to ensure timely, high-quality meals.

Our hours are 11am–8pm, Monday through Saturday, and 6am–3pm on Sundays, with rotating weekends. Background screening is required, and our team enjoys a supportive, engaging work environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in healthcare or senior living settings.
• Ability to prepare meals to high quality standards.
• Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Ensure meals are produced on time with consistent quality.

What you will do...

We're looking for an experienced cook who preferably has experience cooking in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction. You will prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. You are instrumental in ensuring that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion. If you have proven cooking experience and an excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures we would love to meet you! Our hours are Monday through Saturday 11am-7:30pm and Sundays 7am-3pm.
