Monarch Landing in Naperville, IL is seeking an experienced cook for a full-time role. We operate 11:00 AM–8:00 PM Mon–Sat and 6:00 AM–3:00 PM on Sundays, with rotating weekends. A background screening is required prior to employment. Join our team and contribute to delivering quality meals in a senior living community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living settings.
• Ability to prepare food to serve and coordinate with kitchen staff.
• Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces) and cook menu items with the kitchen team.
• Ensure food comes out high quality, timely, and in sync with service demands.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate cooking methods and plating.

What you will do...

We're looking for an experienced cook who preferably has experience cooking in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction. You will prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. You are instrumental in ensuring that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion. If you have proven cooking experience and an excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures we would love to meet you! Our hours are Monday through Saturday 11am-7:30pm and Sundays 7am-3pm.
