Position Type: Part Time
Salary Range: $16.00 - $20.00 Hourly
Description

White Pines Golf Club & Banquets is seeking qualified applicants for the position Line Cook at White Pines Golf Club and Banquet Facility. On-site facilities include two 18-hole golf courses, halfway house, 37 Bar & Grill, tent (350+ capacity) and banquet facility (250+ capacity) and The Pine Room (100+ capacity).

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Responsible for preparing a variety of foods as instructed by the Executive Chef, and in compliance with established food sanitation and quality control guidelines.
  • The line cook will arrange, prepare and break down indoor/outdoor buffet and food displays as required by the event schedule.
  • Keep kitchen clean and organized before, during and after shift.
  • Sanitize cooking equipment and entire BOH cooking area; to include refrigerators, freezers, storeroom, shelving, walls and cabinets according to established procedure.
  • Receive deliveries and check orders for accuracy. Organize received items in appropriate locations.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned by AM or PM Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef.
Qualifications

  • The position is required to possess and maintain appropriate Illinois Food/Sanitation certifications and Bassett Alcohol Certification as required for the facility needs or obtain within one month of hire.
  • Must be available to work daytime shifts. Must be able to work weekdays, days, evenings, weekends and holidays. ** Subject to modified/flexible work schedule during golf season
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50+ lbs
  • Must be able to manipulate kitchen equipment
  • Valid Driver’s License

JOB STATUS Part time DEPARTMENT: FSLA STATUS Non-Exempt

SALARY $16.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience.

HOURS Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours will vary based on the facility requirements.
