Belmont Village Senior Living in Glenview, IL is hosting a hiring event for full-time Line Cooks. You will prepare and serve high-quality meals in a restaurant-style dining program, working in a professional kitchen with shifts 10am-7pm or 9:15am-5:45pm.

We seek dependable, team-oriented professionals with knife skills, food-safety knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional hospitality to residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude with strong knife skills.
• Clear verbal and written English communication is required.
• Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients accurately and manage multiple orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards.
• Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation.
• Properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times.
• Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction.

As a Line Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will prepare and serve high-quality meals for residents and guests in our restaurant-style dining program. Working in a professional commercial kitchen, you'll be responsible for food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining the quality and presentation standards that create an exceptional dining experience.

YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting
• Proven success with basic Culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods
• Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
