Job summary

Job description

As key members of our kitchen staff, our Line Cooks are responsible for ensuring that each item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship. Attention to detail, knowledge of menu items, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment are essential to the success of our restaurant and team.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing a diverse range of food items following company recipes and specifications.
  2. Setting up and preparing for service using various cooking equipment.
  3. Safely operating cooking equipment such as grills, stoves, and fryers, demonstrating proficiency with all tools and machinery.
  4. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in work areas during and after service.
  5. Handling all food products properly, following health department and company standards, and ensuring correct temperatures on all ingredients.
  6. Following order tickets from a POS system, preparing orders according to customer dietary restrictions and/or preferences.
  7. Working in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
  8. Properly closing the kitchen and completing deep clean projects as directed by management.
  9. Standing for long periods (up to 10 hours).
  10. Being a fun, eager, positive, and committed team member.
  11. Exhibiting excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  12. Working in a physically demanding environment and lifting up to 25 lbs several times a day.
  13. Demonstrating proper handling and use of knives.
  14. Having previous experience in a high-volume restaurant setting (preferred).
  15. Minimum of 1 year of restaurant industry experience in kitchen areas (highly preferred).
  16. Availability to work on weekends and holidays.
  17. Authorized to work in the US.
