Position Summary: Do you want to be part of an Authentic, Award-Winning, and Legendary BBQ Team? Do you want to develop the skills of a Famous Pit Master? We are looking for team players who have the desire to learn about our in-house smoked, made-from-scratch recipes and serve up Famous Food!

  • Prepare menu items according to Famous Dave's recipes, plate presentations, and specifications within cook time requirements.
  • Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by Guest and prepare and cook food accordingly.
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, smokers, ovens, stoves, and dishwashers.
  • Complete all assigned prep work.
  • Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
  • Set up work station.
  • Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
  • Be a core team member in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications and Skills: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Previous Line Cook or cooking experience preferred.

Physical Demands: Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 50 pounds. Ability to place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on high and low shelves. Mobility required during the entire shift. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
