Position Summary

Prep and Line Cooks ensure that each Fan receives an unforgettable meal. Prepares dishes according to Primanti Bros. recipes and specifications in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

Players may be required to fulfill obligations of several or all positions.

1. Prepares a variety of food, adhering to specific procedures and presentation standards across all stations including Appetizer, Bread & Fries, Grill, Pizza, and Salad.
2. Prepares all food items required on the Prep List, labels all food according to Shelf Life Chart.
3. Completes assigned prep work to stock and set up stations as necessary.
4. Adheres to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
5. Follows proper HACCP temperature procedures and temping when appropriate.
6. Uses Waste Log and Cooldown Charts as needed.
7. Prepares all orders to recipe specifications and in a timely manner.
8. Communicates ticket times and potential issues with team members.
9. Ensures proper rotation of all products and stocks to par levels.
10. Maintains positive working relationships with team members.
11. Helps team stay caught up with dishes in the dish area.
12. Completes opening, shift change, and closing checklists, as well as cleaning tasks.
13. Performs other duties as requested by Coach.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Good communication, friendly, people-oriented.
• Enthusiastic, dependable, courteous, multitasker.
• Basic math skills.

Qualification Standards

Stands 100% of the shift. Able to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs. during shift. Able to hold items with hands for extended periods, including knives and pans. Frequent bending, stooping, working in hot environments, and with sharp or hot tools. Ability to read tickets and communicate effectively with team members.
