Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a Line Clearance Trimmer to support utility line clearance work in Clintonville, PA, extending to Harrisville, PA. CDL holder or climbing experience is preferred, with progression opportunities within a large, employee-owned company.

You will work outdoors, climb from trees, and collaborate with a crew. The role offers compensation based on experience, comprehensive benefits, and long-term career development within Davey’s expansive utility services network.

• Must complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Required: valid drivers license.
• Preferred: CDL-A/B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsabilidades

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal for major electric utility providers.
• Pruning treetops and removing damaged limbs.
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operate as part of a crew with ground crew and foreperson.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team working from Clintonville PA over to the Harrisville PA region.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law

• Hourly rate range $18.73 - $25.65 based on line clearance/industry experience, and if a CDL holder or a climber.
