Qualifications

• Completing Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Completing First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Relevant pesticide licenses required by state law.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL Class A or B with Air Brake endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work preferred.
• Licenses/certificates required by state law preferred.
• ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional® preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely.
• Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines and structures.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Work as a crew member with ground crew and foreperson.

Line Clearance Trimmer – Butler, PA

Join The Davey Tree Expert Company’s Line Clearance division as a seasoned trimmer (climber preferred, or CDL holder) servicing the Butler, PA region.

Position Overview

Position Overview: The role involves safe and skilled tree pruning and removal for major electric utility providers. Responsibilities include tree pruning, removing broken limbs, applying tree identification knowledge, maintaining and operating equipment, and working as part of a crew.

Job Duties (What You’ll Do)

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson.
