Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a Groundperson to support a crew servicing Cambridge, Dover and New Philadelphia areas in Guernsey and Tuscarawas counties, Ohio.

This on-site role involves assisting with rope work, tool handling, traffic control and site cleanup. The position offers hourly pay of $18.00–$20.00 with potential CDL consideration, health and disability insurance, a 401(k) match, parental leave, stock purchase plan and other employee benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required; CDL may be required depending on job requirements.
• Pesticide license, if required by state law.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as a Groundperson joining a team servicing the Guernsey and Tuscarawas County, Ohio regions which includes: Cambridge, Dover, and New Philadelphia.

Job Duties

• Provides support for the other crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs and persons from aloft

Qualifications

• Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license preferred and may be required, depending on job requirements
• Certificates and Licenses if necessary
• Pesticide license, if required by state law
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain
