Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an Experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to lead a crew servicing Guernsey and Tuscarawas County, Ohio, including Cambridge, Dover and New Philadelphia. CDL preferred; duties include pruning, removal and safety oversight for utility clients.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving on hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates if state law requires.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removal for major utilities, safely and skillfully.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees via trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Perform job-site inspections with planning and execution of tasks.
• Maintain and operate tools/equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Mentor and train new employees.
