Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an Equipment / Jarraff / SkyTrim Operator to support our Guernsey and Tuscarawas County teams, including Cambridge, Dover and New Philadelphia, OH.

This on-site role focuses on safe operation of specialized machinery and collaboration with the crew to clear trees along utility right-of-ways. The position requires outdoor work enthusiasm, 2+ years of mobile equipment experience, and the ability to pass equipment certification and Davey onboarding courses.

Qualifications

• Must have outdoor work affinity.
• At least 2 years mobile equipment experience.
• Able to pass mobile equipment operations certification test.
• Able to complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Able to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL-A or CDL-B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance experience or other tree work preferred.
• Pesticide licenses/certificates per state law preferred.
• ISA Certified Arborist/Tree Worker/TCIA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Equipment / Jarraff / SkyTrim Operator to our passionate team of utility line clearance professionals who will bejoining a team servicing the Guernsey and Tuscarawas County, Ohio regions which includes: Cambridge, Dover, and New Philadelphia.

Job Duties

• Responsible for equipment and crew safety when removing trees on utility right-of-way
• Position involves operating Jarraff / SkyTrim mobile equipment on utility right-of-way

• Assist in all job functions as a member of the crew

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Prefer a minimum of two (2) years mobile equipment operating experience and training which provides the necessary operations skills, knowledge and abilities is required
• Be capable of successfully passing a mobile equipment operations certification test
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Profession

Additional Information

Hourly pay rate $22.00 – 28.00 based on line clearance / industry experience and if a CDL holder.
