Job summary

Schwan's is hiring for a full-time manufacturing role in a food production environment. Starting pay is $17.25 per hour with an additional $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., for the 2nd shift (2p-12a). The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

You will unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods while ensuring quality and compliance with GMP, USDA, OSHA, and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on concrete floors.
• Flexible to rotating schedules including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products and package finished goods.
• Ensure all products meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products and note waste; take corrective action as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient problems or equipment breakdowns.
• Follow USDA, OSHA, state and federal regulations and GMP/safety rules.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
