Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring a full-time manufacturing associate in a food production environment. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential for the 2nd shift (3:30 pm – 1:30 am). Weekly Friday pay and up to two weeks of paid time off in the first year are offered.

You will unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods, while ensuring all products meet quality standards and comply with GMPs, OSHA, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive motions.
• Willing to work rotating weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure products meet quality standards from raw materials to finished goods.
• Inspect products and document waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Comply with GMPs, OSHA, and safety regulations.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
