Job summary

Schwan's Company is seeking a dedicated production team member for a full-time role in our food manufacturing environment. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

This role operates 6 a.m.–4 p.m. and involves unpacking materials, mixing ingredients, and packaging finished goods. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year of experience, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand on concrete, and adapt to rotating schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 year of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; able to perform repetitive motions.
• Able to adapt to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure all products meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; identify waste and report as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient problems, and equipment breakdowns.
• Follow USDA, OSHA, state and federal regulations and GMPs.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
