Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Security Engineer for the Infrastructure Data Center Security & Compliance team. You will manage risk across data centers, edge, backbone, and supply chain, designing and maintaining robust security systems to protect data and meet regulatory requirements.

The role involves engineering security solutions across network, physical, and cyber domains, developing playbooks, and guiding security strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years of experience in network, infrastructure, or telecom security with ownership of security programs in large-scale environments.
• Technical experience across security domains and security project/program maturation.
• Experience supporting security for large-scale and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and secure network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a comprehensive security expert accountable for security risk management across logical and physical security domains.
• Assess security risk and communicate threats and vulnerabilities to inform business decisions and drive strategy.
• Assess and report on effectiveness of security controls to inform security strategy and enable operations.
• Engineer security solutions across network, physical, and cyber domains to protect infrastructure at scale.
• Develop and operationalize security guidance to align policy, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Integrate security throughout the data center lifecycle from planning to decommissioning.
• Develop and implement custom detection rules for mechanical/electrical systems in facilities.
• Support security incident management across all domains and maintain infrastructure supporting security tools.
