Job summary

STARLIMS is seeking a software configuration professional to develop and tailor the STARLIMS out-of-the-box solution for customer requirements. You will install, configure, document, and test laboratory workflows, business rules, and interfaces, including data migration, validation, and customer training.

In this role you will collaborate with project managers, manage configuration life cycle, and maintain coding and documentation standards while supporting multiple systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with programming languages (preferably JavaScript, Java, Jscript .NET or C#).
• 5+ years experience with SQL.
• 5+ years experience with databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server or other).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project manager/business analyst to engineer an effective solution meeting customer requirements.
• Execute software configuration life cycle activities from design through testing and documentation.
• Uphold documentation standards for project and deliverables.
• Define installation, upgrade, configuration, and operating procedures for complex systems and train personnel.
• Understand business impact of supported systems and maintain service levels.
• Understand and apply database monitoring and querying tools (TOAD, SQL).
• Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
• Uphold coding and documentation standards and manage deliverables.
• Assist project manager in developing project and configuration plans.
• Discuss complex technical issues with customers to make binding decisions.
• Prepare and deliver prototype demos as functionality is configured and adjust per feedback.
• Travel 10-40% domestically or abroad as required by projects.
