LIMS SME/Developer and Configuration Specialist

Travel

Remote position; candidate may live anywhere in the USA. Travel requirement: 11‑25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and testing of StarLIMS LIMS/ELN systems for FDA ORA.
• Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.
• Demonstrate expertise in LIMS, integration with non‑laboratory workflows, and provide expert analysis and recommendations.
• Configure and customize the LIMS/ELN.
• Integrate instruments and other systems.
• Act as liaison between internal laboratory users and vendor to address various system issues and user requirements.
• Evaluate product enhancements and capabilities, and implement upgrades and enhancements.
• Develop and configure user requirements, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Possess requisite knowledge to qualify as an expert in the field for a request for offer.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field + 1 year experience for junior level; BS + 5 years for senior level in a laboratory environment.
• Experience with STARLIMS development or configuration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations and practices.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects for different business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
