Job summary

Clarkston Consulting is seeking a motivated LIMS Consultant to deliver innovative solutions for life sciences and consumer product clients. You will configure LabWare or LabVantage LIMS, design workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance across validated environments.

Travel is expected up to 50%, and when not on client site you will work from your home office. You will collaborate with scientists, QA/CSV, and IT to meet client needs and drive project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with LabWare or LabVantage LIMS.
• Experience configuring and customizing LIMS to support laboratory workflows.
• Proven ability to design, configure, and validate assay workflows.
• Experience developing and maintaining scripts for workflow automation and data integration.
• Solid understanding of lab operations and end-to-end processes.
• Ability to deliver configuration demonstrations and client-facing documentation.
• Experience in regulated environments (pharma/biotech/food safety).
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure LIMS modules to support workflows (assay development, plate results, sample management, stability, testing).
• Design, configure, and validate assay workflows aligned with scientific and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation, business rules, calculations, instrument integrations, and data transformation.
• Develop project documentation and conduct demos of configuration to clients.
• Collaborate with scientists, QA/CSV, and IT to gather requirements and support validation (URS/FRS/DS/IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Ensure configurations comply with 21 CFR Part 11 and other validation procedures.
• Work with distributed LIMS teams across sites for deployment.
• Travel 30-50% as required.
