Job summary

Intellectt INC is seeking an experienced LIMS Administrator and NGS Systems Lead in the Boston area. The contract role focuses on Sapio LIMS configuration, workflow design, and system optimization within an NGS lab setting.

You will own LIMS configuration, collaborate with lab, quality, and technical teams, and develop SOPs and training materials while driving continuous improvements. Hybrid work is offered for this 6-month engagement with strong extension potential.

Job Title: LIMS Administrator / NGS Systems Lead

Location: Boston Area, MA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months with Strong Potential for Extension

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced LIMS Administrator / NGS Systems Lead to serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Sapio LIMS within an NGS-focused laboratory environment. The role will own LIMS configuration, workflow design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing system administration while partnering with laboratory, quality, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator and system owner for Sapio LIMS.
• Design, configure, implement, and optimize laboratory workflows within the LIMS environment.
• Assess laboratory processes and develop scalable workflow solutions.
• Gather requirements from laboratory, quality, and technical stakeholders and translate them into system functionality.
• Configure workflows, user permissions, sample tracking, and data management processes.
• Support NGS laboratory workflows and sequencing operations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, system documentation, and training materials.
• Troubleshoot LIMS issues and lead system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for LIMS administration and workflow management.

Required Qualifications

• 6 10 years of experience in LIMS administration, laboratory informatics, laboratory operations, or related areas.
• Hands-on experience administering and configuring Sapio LIMS.
• Strong understanding of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows and laboratory operations.
• Previous hands-on bench/in-lab laboratory experience is required.
• Experience building, implementing, and optimizing LIMS workflows.
• Ability to independently manage projects and take ownership with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or other life sciences environments.

Salary

The hourly rate for this position is $50-$65 per hour.
