Job summary

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Orange County, CA, seeks a Medical Assistant with limited X-ray technician responsibilities. Job description

Under general supervision, this position will assist physician/provider with all general medicine or specialized medical practice duties as a Medical Assistant within the scope of practice. As the limited X-Ray Technician perform diagnostic x-rays within their licensure for patients of all ages and assumes responsibility for accuracy under the direction of the radiologist; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel. The limited xray technician is also responsible for all duties relating to the darkroom. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

Required:

• High school Diploma or GED Required
• Graduate of a State recognized vocational School
• Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training
• MA Certificate
• Current CPR Certificate
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows
• Knowledge/experience with GE RIS and PACS

Preferred:

• Associate or Bachelors’ degree in healthcare-related field
• Working Knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system ‘EMR’

Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates
