Job summary

The Redding Rancheria Tribal Health System is seeking a Limited Scope X-ray Technician/ Float to perform diagnostic X-rays within licensure. The role requires compliance with safety standards, accurate imaging, and collaboration with radiologists and clinic staff.

Flexibility to float between health centers is included. Entry-level wages apply with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• X-ray permit/license in torso, extremity, chest and digital imaging required.
• Certificate from accredited limited radiology program including digital training.
• CPR certification required.
• Preferred 2 years as Limited X-Ray Tech in ambulatory care or medical group.
• Certification as Medical Assistant or 2 years healthcare experience/education.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and medical ethics.
• Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Indian preference applies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and ensure safety from radiation hazards.
• Take X-rays following established procedures and operate radiographic equipment.
• Position patients for X-rays as ordered by the provider.
• Process film and inspect image quality (contrast, density).
• Distribute X-rays to appropriate medical staff.
• Submit pertinent prior studies to Radiologist for interpretation.
• Maintain radiological film files and storage; retrieve as needed.
• Assist RSO to maintain safety/compliance with outside providers.
• Float between health centers based on staffing needs.
• Assist with initial patient intake and EHR data verification.
