Job summary

Redding Rancheria seeks a Limited Scope X-ray Technician/Float to perform diagnostic X-rays within licensure for patients of all ages under physician direction.

The role requires a valid XT permit/license for torso, extremity, chest and digital imaging, CPR certification, and completion from an accredited limited radiology program with digital training. The technician may float between health centers to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

• XT X-Ray Permit/License in torso, extremity, chest and digital imaging required.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training.
• CPR certification required.
• Preferred 2 years of experience as a Limited X-Ray Tech in an ambulatory care facility or medical group practice.
• Certification as Medical Assistant or 2 years of related healthcare experience or education in healthcare field.
• Knowledge of medical terminology/procedures, human anatomy and medical law/ethics.
• Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.
• Indian preference.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protect patients and staff from radiation hazards.
• Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Position patients and perform X-rays of specified body parts as ordered by the medical provider.
• Process films and inspect image quality (contrast, density).
• Distribute X-ray to appropriate medical staff.
• Gather prior studies and documentation for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain radiological film files and storage; pull X-Rays as needed.
• Assist with safety/compliance efforts with RSO.
