Job summary

Carilion Clinic, located at Westlake in Hardy, WV area, is seeking a Limited Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography under established safety and regulatory guidelines. The role supports clinic operations and collaborates with providers to ensure quality imaging.

Expect primarily weekdays, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with opportunities for travel to nearby centers for training or coverage. A Virginia Limited Radiology Tech license and BLS certification within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited school or program of Radiological Sciences - Limited.
• Limited Medical Radiology Technician license in the State of Virginia.
• Ability to obtain AHA BLS-HCP certification within 30 days of hire.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Performs x-rays in the diagnostic setting following established radiologic and regulatory requirements for patient and staff safety.
• Provides support for clinic operations (clinical and clerical) as directed and based on training and competency.
• Operates DR (Digital Radiography) and PACS; ensures equipment is in good working order and compliant with laws.
• Maintains records/logs of activities, including x-rays sent to other facilities; keeps work area neat and stocked.
• Follows radiation protection processes and ALARA principles; may travel for training or coverage as needed.
