Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Lexington, Virginia is seeking a Limited Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray procedures. The role requires a VA Limited Radiology Technician license and completion of ongoing education with ALARA safety adherence.

You will travel as needed to nearby centers for training or coverage and support clinic operations. Compensation ranges from $23.23 to $32.52 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduated from an accredited Radiological Sciences - Limited program.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure: Virginia Limited Medical Radiology Technician license; ability to obtain BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs x-ray on patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes within the licensed scope of practice, as directed by provider.
• Operates DR (Digital Radiography) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System).
• Maintains records/logs of activities and prepares patients for imaging.
• Positions patient and adjusts equipment to acquire quality images; observes for discomfort or distress.
