Job summary

Carmeuse Lime & Stone Inc in Gary, IN seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee plant production activities and supervise front-line employees, ensuring safe operations and quality while supporting continuous improvement to achieve low-cost, high-quality lime production.

You will lead safety compliance, coordinate staffing and budgeting, communicate targets, input data into SAP, and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certificate or related experience.
• 7+ years of direct production supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Strong safety, environmental, and quality focus; ability to follow directions.
• Detail-oriented with SPC/Pareto understanding; capable of working 24/7 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure safety rules and agency regulations are observed.
• Communicate targets and results; address gaps in sales, production, training, and maintenance.
• Supervise hourly employees; ensure task performance and training as needed.
• Oversee loading of raw materials, shipments, and distribution of finished goods.
• Ensure data input into SAP and other management systems.
• Identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in meetings, investigations, and site leadership activities.
