Job summary

Seacoast Church in Mount Pleasant is seeking a part-time caregiver for the Two year olds classroom. The role supports a safe, nurturing environment and partners with the Lil Coasters team.

The schedule is flexible, with weekday and weeknight shifts, including some weekends and holidays. Prior childcare experience is preferred; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and model Christ-centered care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children is preferred.
• Must be available to work flexible schedules including some weekday/weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Hours: Part-time, 20-25 hours/ weekly
Monday-Thursday 8:30am-2:30pm

Location: Mount Pleasant Campus

Classroom Assignment: Two year olds

This position reports to: Lil Coasters & MTP Childcare Manager

The mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others Find God, Grow your Faith, Discover your Purpose, and Make a Difference. The Lil Coasters Team cares for our staff children by providing a safe and nurturing environment, where kids learn about the love of Jesus, grow skills in basic and introductory preschool concepts, and develop friendships and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

• The number one priority is the responsibility for the children in your care
• Supervise and oversee the safety and security of children
• Act as a positive role model and treat each child with dignity and respect
• Engage the children in classroom activities which may include bible story time, crafts, worship songs, free play, games, or other age appropriate activities
• Provide a clean and healthy environment for kids, following all safety policies and procedures
• Reporting all concerns regarding child or parent behaviors to the Childcare Coordinator
• Greet parents, establish trust and rapport by building relationships with the children in your care
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize toys, chairs, tables and floors after use

Job Essentials

• Christ Follower (As a religious organization, Seacoast Church makes hiring decisions that are aligned to our faith and beliefs)
• Previous experience working with children is preferred
• Must be available to work flexible schedule, including some weekday and weeknight shifts, weekend shifts, and/or holiday shifts while maintaining good attendance and punctuality.
• A passion for caring for children who can relate well to both the kids and adults
• Must be able to lift, hold and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to appropriately handle stressful situations
