Job summary

Seacoast Church in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Lead Teacher for two-year-olds for full-time hours at the Mount Pleasant Campus. You will provide a safe, nurturing classroom that supports early learning and faith-based development.

This role reports to the Lil Coasters & MTP Childcare Manager and requires flexibility, a heart for children, and the ability to work well with families in a church setting.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for the children in your care
• Supervise safety and security of children
• Be a positive role model and treat children with dignity and respect
• Engage children in Bible stories, crafts, worship, play
• Provide a clean, healthy environment following safety policies
• Report concerns to the Childcare Coordinator
• Greet parents and build trust with children
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize toys and furniture after use

Hours: Full-time, 30hours/ weekly

Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm

Location: Mount Pleasant Campus

Classroom Assignment: Lead Teacher-Two year olds

This position reports to: Lil Coasters & MTP Childcare Manager

The Lil Coasters Team cares for our staff children by providing a safe and nurturing environment, where kids learn about the love of Jesus, grow skills in basic and introductory preschool concepts, and develop friendships and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

• The number one priority is the responsibility for the children in your care
• Supervise and oversee the safety and security of children
• Act as a positive role model and treat each child with dignity and respect
• Engage the children in classroom activities which may include bible story time, crafts, worship songs, free play, games, or other age appropriate activities
• Provide a clean and healthy environment for kids, following all safety policies and procedures
• Reporting all concerns regarding child or parent behaviors to the Childcare Coordinator
• Greet parents, establish trust and rapport by building relationships with the children in your care
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize toys, chairs, tables and floors after use

Job Essentials

• Christ Follower (As a religious organization, Seacoast Church makes hiring decisions that are aligned to our faith and beliefs)
• Previous experience working with children is preferred
• Must be available to work flexible schedule, including some weekday and weeknight shifts, weekend shifts, and/or holiday shifts while maintaining good attendance and punctuality.
• A passion for caring for children who can relate well to both the kids and adults
• Must be able to lift, hold and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to appropriately handle stressful situations
