Job summary

St. Bernard Circle Apartments in New Orleans, LA seeks an Assistant Property Manager with 1–2 years of apartment industry experience to oversee accounting operations, rent reporting, and leasing support.

You will assist with leasing, resident services, and retention while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and program requirements. Strong organizational skills and experience with Yardi are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager in the related industry.
• Prior tax-credit experience is required.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, HUD, and Housing Agency requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
• Respond to inquiries to generate prospective visits and tours.
• Tour and market apartments, demonstrate market-ready units, and close prospects.
• Enter invoices, lease units, complete applications and recertifications.
• Maintain resident relations, retention, and timely renewals.
• Coordinate with maintenance and manage move-ins/move-outs.
