Job summary

SOME (So Others Might Eat) seeks an Assistant Property Manager in Washington, DC to support LIHTC property operations. Responsibilities include rent collection, lease administration, and coordinating with social services to manage waitlists.

Requirements include 1+ year in property management, LIHTC familiarity, and a high school diploma or associate degree. Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel; schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm with occasional late shift.

Qualifications

• LIHTC knowledge and HUD/LIHTC compliance familiarity.
• 1+ year of property management experience required.
• LIHTC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect rent, security deposits, and miscellaneous income; maintain files.
• Coordinate with leasing intake team to manage waitlist.
• Ensure lease terms, policy adherence, and collect charges for damages.
• Process move-in certifications and recertifications; calculate income/assets per standards.
• Enter work orders and track service progress; assist in inspections and audits.
