Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking a LIHTC Modeling & Structuring Manager in Chicago, IL to ensure accuracy and tax integrity of investment models across the lifecycle. The role combines advanced Excel modeling with LIHTC tax expertise, working with underwriting, fund accounting, investor relations, and asset management teams.

The candidate will review projections, optimize structures, and support multi-fund closings while maintaining model quality and tax compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of LIHTC experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills to build and audit complex financial models.
• Experience with real estate structuring, debt structuring, and partnership modeling.
• Knowledge of Section 42 / Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and troubleshoot LIHTC investment models throughout the project life cycle.
• Validate model assumptions, inputs, outputs, and calculations for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Underwriting, Fund Accounting, Investor Relations, Asset Management, and external counsel.
• Support closing and post-closing analyses and stress testing.
• Ensure model integrity and alignment with tax requirements.
