Job summary

A leading affordable housing organization is looking for a Budget Specialist to manage budgeting and forecasting activities. The role involves collaborating with accounting and property management teams to ensure accurate budgets and compliance with HUD and LIHTC requirements. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, at least three years of experience, and strong Excel skills. The position offers full-time hours and benefits including medical, dental, pension, and 401K.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in affordable housing management, accounting, or asset management.
• Demonstrated experience with HUD, Section 8 (PBRA/PBV), and LIHTC programs.
• Strong Excel proficiency, including lookups, PivotTables, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and submission of annual HUD and LIHTC budgets.
• Collaborate with the property accounting team to ensure budget accuracy.
• Provide training to site teams on how compliance accuracy impacts budgets.
