Job summary

Stones River Electric is seeking a Lighting Technician to support our growing national operations, focusing on installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial lighting systems, controls, and related electrical circuits.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hands-on field experience, can lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and pass drug screen and background checks. We provide equipment and competitive hourly rates based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on field experience with commercial lighting systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial lighting systems and controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical lighting circuits in field sites.
• Manage workload independently in the field and coordinate with teams as needed.
• Use basic technology (tablet/phones) to document work and communicate issues.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lighting & Electrical Technician with 2–3 years of hands‑on field experience. This role focuses on the installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial lighting systems, controls, and associated electrical branch circuits.

Requirements

• 2-3 years Experience with commercial lighting systems and repairs
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and comfortable with heights
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload in the field
• Comfortable using basic technology (iPad, etc.)
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Must pass drug screen, background check, and MVR

Tools Required

• Basic electrical hand tools including meter, pliers, wire strippers, and tape measure
