Job summary

M.C. Dean, a national leader in electrical and cyber-physical solutions, seeks a field technician in Jacksonville, FL.

You will join National Accounts, perform electrical lighting maintenance, replace bulbs, ballasts, and drivers, and work from aerial lifts to resolve customer lighting issues safely and professionally. You will document site work on electronic devices, interface with customers, and represent a top-tier service provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation.
• OHSA 10 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic lighting components.
• Installing and mounting lighting controls, devices, sensors, and components.
• Safe operation of aerial lifts and bucket trucks.
• Testing lighting systems and continuity of circuits in fixtures, using testing devices.
• Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
• Diagnosing malfunctioning lighting systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Reading contract drawings.
• Trouble shooting EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
