Job summary

Rogers Electric in Charleston, SC is seeking a Lighting Technician to join our team. You will perform electrical tasks, install lighting systems, read blueprints, and ensure quality control while delivering reliable service to retail clients.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of service/maintenance and lighting experience, a valid driver’s license, DOT certification, and willingness to travel, nights, weekends, and overtime, with a commitment to safety and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service/maintenance experience.
• 2-5 years of lighting experience.
• Understanding of lighting materials and applications.
• Exterior lighting and bucket truck experience.
• DOT certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willing to travel and work nights, weekends and overtime.
• Safety rules and equipment adherence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the completion of various electrical tasks.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Electrical break and repair.
• Read blueprints, run conduit, and wire/terminate devices.
• Perform quality control testing and troubleshooting.
• Manage service upgrades for our retail clients.
• Interact with store/facilities managers and maintenance personnel.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage the completion of various electrical tasks
• Troubleshooting electrical issues
• Electrical break and repair
• Read blueprints, run conduit, and wire/terminate devices
• Perform quality control testing and troubleshooting
• Manage service upgrades for our new and existing retail clients
• Interact with store/facilities managers and maintenance department personnel

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years previous service/maintenance experience
• 2-5 years previous lighting experience
• Understanding of lighting material and applications
• Working knowledge of installing electrical systems
• Exterior lighting technician and bucket truck experience
• Ability to obtain a DOT certification
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders
• Possession of reliable transportation and basic hand tools
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Must be willing to travel, work nights, weekends and overtime
• Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment

Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
