Job summary

Brigham Young University is seeking a Lighting and Technology Manager (part-time) to design and operate stage lighting for the Department of Dance across campus, nationally, and internationally.

The role involves mentoring student crews, coordinating with the CFAC team, and supporting load-in/out, sound, and video needs for performances and tours. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years stage and theatre production experience.
• Familiarity with lighting, sound, video, scenery, props and backstage operations.
• Ability to design and implement artistic lighting designs.
• Experience with ETC Eos lighting systems and room/venue coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design stage lighting for Department of Dance performances.
• Program cues and operate lighting systems; coordinate with CFAC production team.
• Mentor student crews in basic stage tech; ensure safe backstage operations.
• Serve as Stage Manager for campus or touring productions as required.
