Job summary

Complete Production Resources, Inc ( CPR ) is seeking a Lighting QC Technician to ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and safety protocols. This role focuses on implementing inspection and maintenance plans/QC programs for lighting fixtures and equipment, and participating in automated fixture cleaning and testing with final verification on new products.

The Lighting QC Technician reports to the Lighting Manager and helps ensure all quality control checks are completed and executed,

Qualifications

  • Requires basic understanding of electrical procedures and safety.
  • Experience with standard electronic test equipment.
  • Minimum three years working experience in lighting/QC.
  • Electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate and perform preventive maintenance on lighting equipment.
  • Maintain and enter factory acceptance testing and QC documentation.
  • Ensure maintenance policies and related paperwork are in order.
  • Meet QC deadlines and ensure assets are ready for shipments.
  • Troubleshoot damaged equipment and communicate actions to Manager.
  • Operate Flex Rental Inventory software.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area; assist daily warehouse duties.
  • Report personnel conflicts or policy violations to the Manager.

The Lighting QC Technician will ensure all lighting fixtures/equipment has the required inspection and maintenance plans/QC programs implemented and followed. Will participate and be involved in all automated fixture cleaning & testing with final verification on all newly received products and ensure all quality control checks have been completed and executed. The Lighting QC Tech will report directly to the Lighting Manager.

The Lighting QC Tech will report directly to the Lighting Manager.

Primary Responsibilities Of a Lighting QC Technician
  • Schedules, coordinates and performs preventative maintenance on all owned and sub-rented lighting equipment based on companies established quality control processes.
  • Maintains and enters all factory acceptance testing and QC documentation.
  • Ensures maintenance policies and procedures are met and related paperwork is in order.
  • Ensures all equipment QC deadlines are met.
  • Ensures assets are ready for all outbound shipments.
  • Troubleshoots damaged equipment and communicates to Manager on a course of action.
  • Works in Flex Rental Inventory software.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized at all times.
  • Assists in daily warehouse duties that are delegated by Manager.
  • Maintains a positive and supportive attitude at all times. Reports to Manager of any and all personnel conflicts, grievances from other staff, and any violations of company policies.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends.
  • Basic understanding of standard electrical procedures for safety, knowledge of standard electronic test equipment, and basic A/C, D/C and digital circuit operation.
  • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude.
  • Electrical basics and fundamentals in troubleshooting.
  • High School Diploma required. College education preferred.
  • Minimum of three years working experience required.
  • Vari-Lite Technical Service Training – Preferred
  • Martin Advanced Training – Preferred
  • GLP Training – Preferred
  • Level one Robe Training – Preferred
  • Intro to GrandMA2 Training - Preferred
  • Hog 4 Training - Preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle record. Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Flex Inventory control software knowledge a plus.
