Job summary

The Kendall Group in Cincinnati seeks a Lighting Manager to lead the lighting construction sales and project teams. You will be accountable for department strategy, staffing, financial performance, and successful project execution, while ensuring compliance with safety expectations and company policies.

You will develop employees, set priorities, manage key customer and supplier relationships, and drive operational improvements by coordinating cross-functional resources.

Qualifications

• Work Experience: 10 years of experience in lighting design, electrical distribution or as a contractor.
• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Analytics/Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office; intermediate Excel; understands lighting reps and market positioning.
• Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task.
• Cross-functional: Works well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer service.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication; confidentiality aware.

Responsibilities

• Lead lighting construction sales and project teams; manage strategy, staffing, financial performance and project execution.
• Develop employees, set priorities, manage relationships, resolve escalated issues and coordinate resources.
• Oversee department budgets, forecasts, revenue, gross margin, expenses and backlog.
• Review quotations, pricing, contracts, change orders and high-risk commitments.
• Champion full portfolio of lighting projects; monitor schedules, delivery, commitments and closeout.
• Maintain relationships with customers, vendors, contractors and reps; ensure policy and safety compliance.
