Job summary

The Kendall Group is seeking a Lighting Manager to lead the lighting construction sales and project team onsite in Cincinnati, reporting to the General Manager. You will drive department strategy, staffing, and financial performance while ensuring successful project execution.

You will develop talent, align priorities with Kendall Electric’s objectives, and manage key customer and supplier relationships, ensuring safety and policy compliance across all operations.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in lighting design, electrical distribution or as a contractor.
• Experience with lighting representatives, distributor-led sales strategy, stocking considerations, and market positioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead lighting construction sales and project team; accountable for department strategy, staffing, financial performance and project execution.
• Set department priorities and staffing for project pipeline; manage budgets, forecasts, revenue, gross margin and backlog.
• Oversee quotations, pricing exceptions, and high-risk commitments; maintain relationships with customers, vendors, contractors and manufacturers.
• Monitor performance metrics: quote activity, project profitability, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and aging orders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and safety expectations.
